If you are making plans based on term dates, be aware that history shows that sometimes term dates need to be changed after they have been published.

Take this into account, too...

The effective school vacation time can be slightly longer than the official term dates would indicate:
The first and last days of school terms are sometimes used as student free days (also called professional learning days).
Special student free days might be needed at the beginning of the year where a new school has been built.
Special student free days might be needed at the end of one year and at the beginning of the following year, and at other times, where a merger results in a new school.
Occasionally, building activity can cause a slight delay in the commencement of a term for an individual school.
